"Eagle's Wings"

Within me flow the bloods of Navajo and Piute races.

I travel many places and see many places

Within me glows a bright love for my family.

I like to play in sports that involve running

Within me there is a background of my religion.

Which involve singing in peyote meetings, and

Tying drums

Within me there is a thirst for competition.

It shows when playing sports against others.

Within me there are shadows of dislikes.

Which are forever darkening the incoming light.

Within me there is a hunger for learning new things.

Like when an eagle first spread it’s wings.
