It is where the sun mostly shines and is always empty during the 3A State basketball tournament.  Everybody knows each other so nothing ever stays a secret.    Most people like each other, but some show hatred toward each other.  Kids are running around during summer through the trees and the ditches having fun with their own imagination.  The people are up and working before the sun rises.  The sound of chainsaws and ATVs wake the morning with a loud buzzing sound echoing through the land.  Livestock animals cry for their morning food.  The people’s dogs are barking in the distance every time a vehicle passes their territory.  Some people go to town packed in their vehicle usually heading to a town that has a Wal-Mart or a mall….something other than a trading post.   Some people’s animals roam the land getting on people’s nerves.  There are some days when a special event happens like a birthday party and most of  the community comes and eat mutton.  Some people come home from Phoenix to see their family and laugh about old times when they were naughty Navajos causing damage when they were small.  Most Navajos work deep into the day making their lives easier when winter comes.  The students at the school are waiting until school ends.  As the day ends the kids come and get fed and clean.  Some come home to watch, play, and others do thier homework.  The day comes to an end and the family is going to sleep.  The coyotes howl in the distance and my dad grabs the gun to scare the coyotes away.  The moonlight shines through the window.   Before the kids go to sleep, they pray and say "amen".
